Commuities

"Going to hardcore shows is a community." This is a community because it is a numerous amount of people, sharing in one similar interest. The shared interest, (going to shows) is what keeps the group together. The life of this community is nurtured by those involved. The needs and interests of the people involved in the community are all closely related. The number one interest is music. All people residing in such a community are focused on listening to the latest bands, hearing their favorites, or just supporting bands they've never heard of. People in this community yearn to hear the clash of drumsticks against cymbals, the thick, heavy breakdowns that leak from the guitar, and the screaming fans yelling the lyrics at the top of their lungs. A difference in musical taste amongst this community, make it hard for total and complete unity to be achieved. There is more than one type of "hardcore" music, and each person has a specific preference. The fact that I enjoy going to shows and listening to heavy music makes me a perfect candidate for this community. As long as I continue to appreciate and adore the music scene of which I am apart of, I will always fit into this community. The fact that there can be a community in which there are so many people that share the same interest in music as I do, makes the group very pleasing to me. This community gives me a place to release all of my musical opinions without being shot-down in the worst way possible. Whether it's meeting others with similar favorite bands, or messing stuff up in the pit, this "family" is one that I will always want to be a part of.

Wallets

My wallet and purse hold things that I would be lost without. Although it could give someone a start, I do not believe the contents of my wallet or purse could ever completely show someone who I am.
My black clutch wallet is the home to various cards and items that I would be lost without. Identification, school ID, a bank card, two tickets to an upcoming concert, and numerous coffee stamp cards rest within the slots of my wallet. All of these things can give a stranger who knows nothing about me an idea of me.

By looking at the contents in my wallet, one might assume that I am a very organized person. Each slot holds two cards, never more, never less. Each receipt is folded delicately in half and placed in the hidden pocket even I sometimes forget about. Seeing the A Skylit Drive tickets safely tucked away inside the zippered pocket, waiting to emerge on February 2, people would get a slight idea of the music I enjoy. The coffee stamp cards that I carry will obviously tell someone that I enjoy my white chocolate mocha every once in a while.

Although there are some things  that people would be able to figure about me based on what they find in my wallet, what they find cannot show them everything. My personality, in my opinion, would be totally hidden. They would not know that I'm shy or a writer by looking at the ID or bank card, my bus pass or Albertson's card. My wallet carries only the necessary cards and important receipts and very rarely, important show tickets. People would not know that I am very family oriented and a daddy's girl. (I do not think that pictures of friends and family belong in a wallet, hidden away) They would not know that I am a Christian, or sleep with my cat by my head. Those are things that no one could ever find out about me by looking at my wallet or the contents inside. The items in my wallet do not define me.They are just plastic and paper.
